Call for Papers - Conference 2012

The Thirteenth Annual Conference of the Scottish Association for the Study of America will be hosted by by the Andrew Hook Centre for American Studies at the University of Glasgow on 17th March 2012. There is no specific theme for the conference, and we anticipate that the programme will reflect the range and vitality of American Studies within Scottish universities and beyond. Proposals are invited from scholars of international relations, politics, religious studies, literature, history, and other cognate disciplines. Proposals should reach the conference organiser by 31st January 2012. Please download the Call for Papers for full details.

Conference 2011

The Twelfth Annual Conference was organised by Ben Marsh and hosted by the School of History & Politics at the University of Stirling on 5 February 2011.


Conference 2010

The Eleventh Annual Conference was organised by Robert Mason and hosted by the University of Edinburgh on 19 March 2010.


Conference 2009

The Tenth Annual SASA Conference was organised by Matthew Ward and hosted by the University of Dundee on 6 March 2009. Further details on the 2009 Conference can be found here.

The Ninth Annual SASA Conference was organised by Rachael McLennan and hosted by the Andrew Hook Centre for American Studies at the University of Glasgow on 8 February 2008.


Conference 2007

The Eighth Annual SASA Conference was organised by Kirsten Phimister and held at the University of Edinburgh on 2 March 2007.


Conference 2005

The Seventh Annual SASA Conference was organised by Catherine Callard and hosted by the School of History, University of St. Andrews on 8 November 2005.
